Guide · Inside the Care Plan - What does the 4-Year Care Plan actually include?

One fixed fee, four years, with a reassessment built into the schedule rather than left to chance — here’s what happens each year, and what you get back.

The 4-Year Care Plan isn’t a single survey with a renewal reminder — it’s a fixed schedule across four years, so reassessment happens because it’s already built in, not because someone remembered to book it.

The four-year schedule

  • Year 1 — baseline assessment. The full on-site measurement: every relevant source and role measured, checked against the 80 / 85 / 87 dB(A) action and limit values, with a written report and clear action points.
  • Year 2 — review. A lighter-touch check against what changed since Year 1 (new or replaced machinery, a layout change, a shift-pattern change), rather than a full remeasurement.
  • Year 3 — full reassessment. An equivalent remeasurement to Year 1, confirming the figures still hold rather than assuming they do.
  • Year 4 — review. The same lighter-touch check as Year 2, carrying you through to the point you’d renew or re-baseline.

See how often you need to reassess for what can trigger a check outside this schedule — new equipment, a layout change, or a health surveillance trend don’t wait for Year 3 if they happen sooner.

One fixed fee for all four years

Whichever tier fits your site, the fee is fixed for the full four years — no annual re-quote, and no uplift when we come back for a review or reassessment. The free 60-second check or the instant quote gives you the real figure for your own site rather than a generic sector number.

What you get back

  • A written assessment report after the Year 1 baseline and the Year 3 reassessment, with the measured figures tied to the duties they trigger.
  • Clear action points — what needs doing, not just a list of numbers.
  • Your own record, kept together across all four years rather than scattered across four separate one-off reports.

What it doesn’t do

It’s worth being straightforward about this: the Care Plan doesn’t continuously monitor your site between visits. Between visits, your record stays current because you tell us what’s changed — a new machine, a layout change, a different shift pattern — not because anything is watching the floor in real time. That’s exactly why the schedule above exists: known check-in points, so the record stays current as your site changes, rather than a single assessment that only ever describes one moment.
