Hearing damage is cumulative. Even levels that never sound alarming fill the day’s dose — and by mid-afternoon a normal shift has already gone past what is safe over eight hours. Sudden loud events (a press, a drop test, a nail gun) are assessed against their own separate peak limit, on top of this daily total — see how the action values work.

Nothing gets switched off or slowed for us. We measure by area and by role, so a grinder bay and a picking aisle are separate figures, not one average.

The things people ask first
How long does the assessment take on the day?
A typical small-to-mid site is measured within about 90 minutes. Larger multi-area sites take a half-day. We work around you, not the other way round.
Do we have to stop production?
No — and you shouldn’t. Measuring a quiet version of your floor gives a number that’s no use to anyone. We measure it running normally.
What happens if we buy a new machine?
Tell us and we re-measure the affected area and re-issue — it’s part of the four years, at no extra cost. Keeping the assessment true as the site changes is the whole point of the plan.
Is this a one-off survey?
No. It’s a measurement now, then the reviews, the re-measurements when your machinery changes, and the records you need if anyone ever asks — for four years, at a price fixed on day one.
Do you cover our area?
Yes — the whole of the UK, including multi-site groups. Our roots are on the south coast and we work nationwide. Where you are changes the travel, not whether we come.
